The new Austin Powers is a wretched film. I loved the first one because, unlike most people who quote it endlessly, I actually caught the subtle references to James Bond movies. The second and third installments are pretty much spoofs of the AP series, not spy movies. And Goldmember? What purpose did he serve? Oh I fear for a fourth one. Granted, Goldmember had one redeeming quality: three minutes of Gwyneth Paltrow.
