Today I bought:
-Two Criterion Collection DVDs, David Lean's Great Expectations and The Vanishing, which is the creepiest movie ever made.
-"Close-up on Sunset Boulevard," the meticulously researched book about the 1950 film noir classic.
-A Bret Easton Ellis novel, "The Rules of Attraction." Watch for the upcoming film version, which stars Faye Dunaway, who is alive and kicking.
Today I watched:
-To Kill a Mockingbird.
-One episode of "M*A*S*H."
-My ass sit and accomplish nothing.
I'm looking forward to:
-Dinner with the family at an as-of-yet-undetermined expensive restaurant.
-The season finale of "The Real World: Chicago."
-Working out tomorrow morning.
-Reading Marci's "take me back" letter (or obituary -- whichever comes first).
