I received, via the massive Mizzou Mafia e-mail list, a plea from a freelance writer to help him with a "movie project" (I'm not blowing my horn -- he sent it to all 800 of us). Without a clue as to what the project would cover, I replied in the positive. So now I'm sitting here trying to name the top ten influential Hispanic directors in the genre of suspense. Uhm...Guillermo del Toro, Alejandro Amenabar...Didn't Orson Welles play a Hispanic in Touch of Evil? Ha, yes, I thought so.
