In terms of driving, some people make it their goal not to reach their destination. By driving a shade faster than your average Special Olympic wheelchair racer, drivers all across Oklahoma are competing in what I've deemed "The race to finish last." If a light turns yellow, they'll slam on the breaks (of course the car isn't hurt given its slow mph). Sometimes, if they think a light is yellow-bound (i.e. still green), they'll slow down at the intersection just in case the light turns yellow. On the highway, these people prefer the left lane. They're oblivious to that nice sign that reads, "Slower traffic right lane." And if they're an elderly driver, they'd just as soon look around amnesiacally than pay attention to the road. I'm predestined to lose "The race to finish last." I lack the patience (ignorance), care-free tendency (aimlessness) and time (thoughtlessness).
