After dinner, I watched Footloose. The film holds a special place in my heart as one of those milestones in my life. In the February of 1984, when the film was originally released, my sister Marni was an 8th grader. I was a year away from Pre-School, and I thought she and her friends were the epitome of cool. Marni and her friend Laura invited me to go to Footloose with them at 10 p.m. Mom originally said, "No," but Marni begged and begged and got her way. I'll never know why she thought it would be so much fun to take her four-year-old brother to the movie with her, but I'll never forget that night. The minute those feet began flashing on the screen, I fell in love with movies and seeing them with people who mean so much to me.
