I've just returned from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Before I give my opinion, I must say that LOTR extended edition is one of the best...uhm....25 movies ever made (I think Rachel would concur). I would rank the original version in the top 50 or 100, but the extended edition adds so much through the little details that I'm quite overjoyed and speechless at the beautiful magic of movies. Shoot me.

Now, the sequel. Tricky business, those sequels. Empire Strikes Back and Godfather 2 withstanding, I hate sequels. I didn't hate The Two Towers; I just felt that Jackson took a few more liberties with this than he did the first. And I must admit to a certain amount of watch-checking.
