Yesterday I went Christmas shopping with Jackie and ended up spending much more money on myself than I did on gifts for others (For me: two DVDs, a shirt, slacks; for others: a candle). Jackie, on the other hand, was quite generous buying gifts for others. However, she bought a dazzling new Nokia for herself that fits her personality (white and sleek).

Today I went to the mall with Andrew to help him find a gift for Jan. I ended up buying even more gifts for myself (a sweater and a cap from Gap and a shirt from J. Crew). I might not be giving good gifts this year, but when it comes to self indulgence, I'm the next best thing to Santa Claus.
