I am currently listening to a CD I bought while I was in Columbia a few weeks ago. I stopped by the new Cherry Street Artisan to get some coffee and check out the new downtown stores. The Artisan features local musicians, and a flute-player (flutist? fluter?) named Phil James was on stage. At the suggestion of my friend Kaity, who is interning for a Columbia music studio, I shelled out $15 for his CD. And I must say that it took a few listens for me to enjoy it. But now, on this snowy day, I am in sheer bliss with my flute CD and some incense. All right, maybe not sheer bliss, but I am awfully content.
