To those of you oblivious to the joy derived from watching the Oscars, shame on you for suggesting a postponement (or worse yet, cancellation) of this Sunday's ceremonies. If I'm not allowed any say in this war and how it is handled, then I refuse to put my life on hold and postpone all thing joyous just so I can remind myself exactly how horrific and depressing war is. America is all about the pursuit of dreams, freedom, etc., right? Then for one night, my dream is to live vicariously through the four actors who, for one moment, believe that the entire world is in love with them.
