Eternal flame
When it comes to celebrity encounters, I'm more apt to drool over someone obscure who's entertained me as opposed to some generic big name. For instance, last night at work I encountered one of my all-time favorite 80s musicians. Sitting at a table with her two sons was Susanna Hoffs, the lead singer of The Bangles. I was in the presence of the angelic voice that gave the world "Manic Monday" and "Walk Like an Egyptian." I think I was more excited about seeing her than I have been by any other celebrity I've seen in LA.
But I didn't say anything. I just smiled. And despite what I thought was a moment between us, I think I just looked rather creepy.
